The breathtaking view from our apartment balcony was absolutely stunning. We could see rolling hills, vineyards, and beautiful countryside. the apartment itself was comfortable and well-appointed, with a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy bedroom. the hosts, Mauro and Donatella, were incredibly helpful and provided us with great recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. the grounds of the hotel were also well-maintained, with a beautiful pool and spacious gardens to relax in.

The noise level from other guests in the hotel was quite high at times, which made it difficult for me as a light sleeper to get a good night's sleep.

Narrow and stressful dirt road.

I chose Il Coltro Guest House because of its close proximity to the Historic Centre of San Gimignano, which I wanted to visit. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the multilingual staff and laundry facilities at the hotel. The complimentary wireless Internet access and barbecue grills were also great features.

Car necessary, unpaved access road. Grocery shopping needed for home cooking.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness of the rooms and premises was impeccable. The hotel facilities were well-maintained and offered everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, providing us with excellent recommendations for things to do and places to visit. The location was convenient, being close to major roads and within easy reach of nearby towns. We also enjoyed the beautiful view from the hotel, which offered a stunning panorama of the surrounding countryside.

We had a fantastic 6-night stay at Il Coltro. The apartment Il Sole provided a comfortable and unique three-level setting with a direct exit to a beautiful garden offering a superb view. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to enjoy home-cooked meals. Mauro, the host, was always available and even greeted us with a bottle of chianti. Florence and Siena were easily accessible by train, as suggested by Mauro. The surroundings felt like a lost part of paradise with breathtaking panoramas and a colorful, well-maintained garden.

Strongly recommend this hotel.

The kids loved the horse riding at Poggibonsi, a short drive away. The friendly staff made sure we had all the information we needed for a fun and safe ride. It was a memorable experience for the whole family.

My wife says that it would have been even better if there were more kid-friendly activities on site.

The location of Il Coltro was perfect, with easy access to San Gimignano and other nearby towns such as Poggibonsi. we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this farmhouse for a memorable vacation in Tuscany.

The medieval towers and cobblestone streets transported us back in time. The kids had a blast exploring the towers and imagining themselves as knights and princesses. It was a perfect family destination, filled with history and charm. We even had the chance to go horseback riding through the beautiful Tuscan countryside, adding an extra element of adventure to our trip. The whole family loved it!

For dads, it would be great if there were more organized activities for the kids.
